This is a question I am often asked as a vegan bodybuilder. You would be surprised by the amount of people who still believe that it is only possible to get quality protein by eating animals! These are most likely the same people who still believe the earth is flat or those who point to the sky in amazement every time an aircraft passes above! But I can explain.
There are so many examples of vegan athletes who excel at their chosen sport. These vegans need protein for their muscles for performance and recovery so that every time they compete, they can compete against the very best. And they can do this without eating meat.
So back to the original question of “Where do you get your protein?”. I could answer with a ton of facts and examples of these vegan athletes who I mentioned earlier. But I found an interesting article that explains the concept of protein for vegans in a clear and easy to understand way.
